Friendly for Ukraine

With a friendly match expected to be announced imminently, ATAC call on the match organisers to donate match proceeds (or a sizeable chunk of them) to the Ukrainian DEC fund. Anything we can do to aid the Ukrainian population affected by the unjust invasion of their country must be explored.

A specific TA fundraising page in conjunction with the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal has also been set up – it can be found here – https://gofund.me/30d68409. Please have a look, they are suggesting you donate some of what you may have spent when attending the Ukraine game.

ATAC welcome the decision to postpone the playoff semi final v Ukraine. In the interests of fairness, it is essential that Ukrainian preparations are not affected by the unjust invasion of their country.

We await news of when this match will be rescheduled in June together with the play off final arrangements, and our thoughts remain with the people of Ukraine.

ATAC Stand With Ukraine

The Association of Tartan Army Clubs welcomes the SFA position not to play any fixtures against Russia following their invasion of Ukraine.  We stand with Ukraine and hope that the invasion of their country ceases immediately for the safety and humanity of the Ukrainian population.

We encourage offers of support to the Ukrainian FA ahead of our upcoming fixture to enable them to participate and prepare for the game as well as they possibly can.  Whilst we currently want this match to go ahead we do not want to benefit in any way from the invasion of Ukraine. The sanctity of life and the right to live in peace far outweighs any football game.
